A traditional martial art of Thailand, Muay Thai is a stand up striking martial art that uses fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet in its arsenal of devastating strikes to subdue one's opponent.  It is characterized by toughness, skill, and grit on the one hand, while  cultivating the traits of humility, loyalty, and reverence for one's nation, family, teachers, ancestors, and community on the other.

Class begins with a few rounds of jump roping and other drills for warm-up, followed by study of technique and exercises on bags or pads, or by sparring, if you're at that level.

Required: shorts, gloves, head gear, mouth piece, shin guards, hand wraps, and jump rope.
